Strategy leadership without the full-time headcount

You want content to support your business—not slow it down. But you don't need a full-time strategist. You need focused leadership to move forward.

Your documentation team is smart. Skilled. And buried. The strategy hasn't kept up. The backlog keeps growing. And no one's owning the big picture.

Executives speak in revenue, growth, and scale. Meanwhile, your team speaks in accuracy, clarity, and risk reduction.

Content drives outcomes. But not everyone sees it that way. That's where we come in. At Intuitive Stack, we bring senior content strategists to the table—fractionally.

of B2B companies have put a higher priority on improving customer experience through personalization of content.

Questions

These are the questions smart teams ask before they choose a partner. If yours isn't listed here, let's talk.

You'll work directly with a senior strategist as your primary point of contact. But you're never getting a one-person show. Behind the scenes, they're supported by our full team—strategists, architects, technologists, tool specialists, and designers—so you get well-rounded, forward-thinking guidance.

We consider it case by case, but content strategy is our strength. If it's within the scope of content structure, governance, team enablement, or connecting content to business outcomes, we'll cover it. If it's execution-heavy—full rewrite projects, knowledge base population, or developer documentation migration—it falls outside of scope unless we explicitly agree to add it as a project layer or bring in implementation partners.

It depends on the tier. At Advisor Access, we work with one designated stakeholder to keep the engagement streamlined. In Embedded or Acting Strategist roles, we can support multiple collaborators (usually 3–6) and coach leads. We stay close to the leadership core—not the entire writing team—unless explicitly scoped.

We guide, critique, and create when it matters. At the lower tiers, we emphasize strategy, structure, and feedback—roadmap slides, IA recommendations, metadata models, audit criteria. At the higher tier, we also produce hands-on deliverables: content architecture diagrams, templates, governance playbooks, or working drafts of key materials. We don't act as an overflow writer, but we will shape systems and create tools your team can use.

We design our work to prevent fire drills. If something time-sensitive comes up within scope, we'll prioritize it within your allotted hours and availability tier. For true emergencies or urgent requests outside of scope, we'll always try to help—we may need to shift priorities or add hours by agreement.

Yes, based on the tier. At Tier 1, we meet twice a month. At Tier 2, it's weekly strategy sessions, plus team coaching or stakeholder alignment if needed. At Tier 3, we function like an internal strategist—we'll participate in standing meetings where strategy decisions are being made, as long as they align with your allotted hours.

You can always scale up without losing momentum or starting from scratch. We offer flexible upgrades to the next tier or add-on hours at our standard strategic rate. If your needs grow, we can also scope a project (audit, CCMS migration support, content model overhaul) alongside your existing retainer.

Always, within reason. For async questions, we respond within 2–3 business days (Tier 1) or 1–2 days (Tiers 2–3). If something is blocking progress, let us know. We'll do our best to keep your momentum moving.

Yes, if that's what's needed to make progress. You'll get working artifacts, not just conversations: roadmaps, governance frameworks, IA diagrams, audit plans, metadata models, and team role definitions. We don't believe in monolithic PDFs no one reads. You'll get strategic tools you can actually use.

Measurable progress, not magical transformation. You'll see better decisions, stronger systems, and a clearer link between content and business goals. For some teams, that means faster onboarding. For others, it's fewer support tickets or better reuse. What we deliver depends on where you're stuck and where you want to go.

Strategy success looks like clarity, alignment, and momentum. We measure success by what your team is able to do differently: Are you making confident decisions faster? Is the team more consistent, efficient, or less reactive? Can stakeholders finally see the value of what you're doing? We'll work with you to define specific signals to watch for—and build the right KPIs when needed.

A full-time hire means salary, benefits, ramp-up time, and management overhead. With us, you get a senior strategist who already operates at that level. No onboarding, no hidden costs, no long-term commitment. High-level support, only when you need it.

We do offer execution support when needed, but it's not our primary model—and it's rarely less expensive. Our work is most effective when we're leading or supporting strategic change. If cost is a concern, we recommend starting with the Advisor tier or a small pilot project to get meaningful traction without a long-term commitment.

We don't bill by the hour—we bill for access, attention, and results. That said, we do track how the engagement is pacing. If you're consistently under-utilizing, we'll flag it and adjust, either with additional touchpoints or a shift in tier. For Tier 3, we offer limited rollover of unused hours if pre-agreed. For Tiers 1–2, what matters is our availability, not time used.

We specialize in companies where content is complex, high-stakes, and often under-leveraged—teams in regulated industries (healthcare, financial services, enterprise tech), as well as post-sales customer experience teams: training, support, documentation. We've worked with companies from $500M to $60B in revenue. If you have smart people doing reactive work without a clear strategy, yes, we've worked with companies like yours.

Yes. We work with teams using DITA, Markdown, Docs as Code, CCMS platforms, Content Delivery Platforms, Learning Management Systems, iiRDS, and headless CMSs. We also know the realities of working with structured content under HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO constraints. But tools are just the mechanics. What we bring is the strategic layer on top—making sure you're using the right tools the right way for the outcomes you want.

Most content strategists focus on editorial standards or UX copy. We specialize in structure, systems, and scalability. We think like architects, coach like leaders, and deliver like operators. Our job is to move your content practices from good intentions to sustainable, measurable, strategic value. We want to lead and teach you so your team gains the skills and muscles to do this on their own.

We'll help you frame your message in a way that resonates with decision-makers. Whether it's about risk, efficiency, or growth, we'll work with you to make sure others see the value in what you're doing.

We do both. If you have team members who are ready to grow into strategic roles, we will support them. That might mean one-on-one coaching or guiding them through real projects. We stay involved and help your team build the skills and confidence to lead.

Yes, that's a big part of what we do. We make complex ideas clear using visuals, language, and models that everyone can understand. It is our job to make sure the strategy makes sense to everyone who needs to fund or act on it. This is where Intuitive Stack shines—turning complexity into clarity.
